Rangel's Ethics "Trial" Begins
New York Democrat Charlie Rangel was charged with 13 ethical violations. CBS notes they were "serious" violations. Gee Whiz, I would think any ethics violation was serious! After all, Rangel is part of Nancy Pelosi's most ethical Congress and a member of the Obama's most transparent government!

The biggest question first. How has Charlie Rangel managed to stay in office so long? It was years ago that it was revealed that Rangel was renting out rent controlled apartments. It was several years ago that we learned that Rangel was a tax cheat (so are Katheryn Sebilus, Timothy Geither and several others in the "transparent" government.) Rangel was chairman of the Ways and Means Committee, where he oversaw policy on taxes, trade, health care, Medicare and Social Security. He was forced to step down in March after revelations that two trips he took to the Caribbean were corporate bribes.

How on earth does congress pat itself on the back when these "serious" ethics charges have gone on for years? How can it be ethical to be in back room with Charlie Rangel still trying to work out a deal?

Since Rangel committed these ethical violations - isn't prison the right place for him?

Supporting the Unemployment
From HotAir's Obamateurism of the Day
"We need to extend unemployment compensation benefits for women like Leslie Macko, who lost her job at a fitness center last year, and has been looking for work ever since. Because she's eligible for only a few more weeks of unemployment, she's doing what she never thought she'd have to do. Not at this point, anyway. Shes turning to her father for financial support," Obama said in his speech.
And as Paul Harvey would say, here's the rest of the story:
Leslie Macko was once employed at ACAC in the Albemarle Square Shopping Center. In 2009, Macko was convicted of prescription drug fraud, at which point she lost her job as an esthetician in the spa at ACAC.
Perhaps Ms. Macko has to turn to daddy because she was a druggie. Why should she receive any unemployment when her unemployment is due to a criminal act?

NEA Recommends Saul Alinsky's Book
The NEA (National Education Association) is recommending that all its members read Saul Aninsky's Rules for Radicals.

You just thought your child's teacher was all about reading, writing and arithmetic! Instead their union is suggesting that their teachers learn how to change society - apparently so they can use your children as their tools.
