Special Inspector General for TARP: Jobs Lost
Neil M. Barofsky chosen Special Inspector General for TARP, says the seizure of two automakers and resulting closing of thousands of profitable dealerships instead of culling out those under performers cost jobs - the very thing the American people were promised. Barofsky's report estimates that tens of thousands of jobs were lost as a result of the rapid closures in a down economy.

Remember that when the Democrats start their mantra again on "Jobs, jobs, jobs." Remember that also at the 2010 and 2012 election booth.

Unrested, Dissatisfied Obama Heads for Golf Links
In May 2010 (2 months ago) Barack Hussein Obama told the nation that he would not rest until the oil spill in the gulf was contained.

Yesterday it was disclosed that Barack Hussein Obama will "vacation" in Maine with his family this weekend. Today we learn that Barack Hussein Obama was not resting on the golf links yesterday, the eighth time since the oil spill began.

Apparently Obama is so tired from his lack of rest that he's sending wife Michelle to the gulf oil spill today.

Day 70, Failure Finally Accepts Assistance
Wonderful! We are 70 days into the disastrous oil spill that has spewed millions of gallons of oil into the gulf and the Kick-Ass President finally decides to accept help offered within the first week!
The National Incident Command and the Federal On Scene Coordinator have determined that there is a resource need for boom and skimmers that can be met by offers of assistance from foreign governments and international bodies.

The United States will accept 22 offers of assistance from 12 countries and international bodies, including two high speed skimmers and fire containment boom from Japan. We are currently working out the particular modalities of delivering the offered assistance. Further details will be forthcoming once these arrangements are complete.
Twenty-Seven nations and 5 international groups have offered assistance. Their offers sat around for weeks while Kick-Ass attended his parties, golfing dates and vacation. Just look at all the items (53 as of this writing)still "under consideration". Must be because the Kick-Ass President is doing so well with his group of experts hiding in a little room.

The list includes experts, technical people, boom and skimmers. So why are the gulf state pleading for assistance which has fallen on deaf (but Kick-Ass)ears.

Obama is Incompetent
Mississippi's Governor joins a long list of liberals who are now openly admitting that Barack Hussein Obama is incompetent.
"I'm having a Katrina flashback," said the Bay St. Louis Democrat after an aerial survey of the Mississippi Sound and barrier islands Saturday morning. "I haven't seen this much incompetence since Michael Brown was running FEMA."

"It is criminal what is going on. This doesn't have to happen, and it is not like I said 'go fix it.' I gave them a detailed plan how to do this two weeks ago. They are not doing any of it."

Taylor's plan, like the state's, called for a multilayered response that relied heavily on skimmers to collect oil south of the barrier islands, at the island passes and within the Mississippi Sound.

"I'm absolutely furious," said Taylor. "If the president of the United States can't find somebody who can do this job, then let me do it."
But do remember, Mike Brown didn't get 70 days (he got less than 2 weeks and then was replaced) to demonstrate his incompetence.

Taylor goes on to say the gulf disaster lacks direction and equipment. The lack of equipment and expertise isn't because there isn't such equipment in the US or expertise in the world.

Stealth Oil Drilling Moratorium
Remember the oil drilling moratorium that Judge Freeman stopped? Well as the White House would say "there's more than one way to skin a cat".

The White House seems to have implemented its stealth oil drilling moratorium simply by refusing to issue permits!
But drillers in shallow water say they haven't been issued permits since the April 20 explosion. The delay has already forced hundreds of layoffs, and many more could be on the way.
The Interior department claims they aren't issuing permits because none of the shallow rigs have met the new regulations which were first announced on June 8, 2010.

Obama Administration Loses Again
Not only did Federal Judge Martin Feldman overturn the oil drilling moratorium, but today he again angered the Obama Administration by refusing to stay his order.

Of course in the 48 hours since the first order, the Obama administration has done everything they possibly can to throw dirt on Judge Feldman. And once again, more taxpayer money will be wasted on an appeal U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

Feldman should know that the Obama Administration does not take kindly to anyone having a diverse opinion. I predict this Judge will be looking for a job in the near future. I also predict that should the U.S. Court of Appeals uphold Feldman's ruling, the Obama administration will find away around it so they can do as they wish.

Just like rumors of an executive order coming to give Amnesty to illegals if Democrats can't work up enough senate votes - you can expect Obama to walk around any "no" to his agenda.

What the Oil Moratorium Doesn't Cover
We've mentioned several times that the oil drilling moratorium doesn't cover BP's Atlantis platform said to be a catastrophe waiting to happen. Well it also doesn't cover the new plan by BP in Alaska either.
about three miles off the coast of Alaska, BP is moving ahead with a controversial and potentially record-setting project to drill two miles under the sea and then six to eight miles horizontally to reach what is believed to be a 100-million-barrel reservoir of oil under federal waters.

Rather than conducting their own independent analysis, federal regulators, in a break from usual practice, allowed BP in 2007 to write its own environmental review for the project as well as its own consultation documents relating to the Endangered Species Act, according to two scientists from the Alaska office of the federal Mineral Management Service that oversees drilling.

"It makes no sense," said Rebecca Noblin, the Alaska director for the Center for Biological Diversity, an environmental watchdog group. "BP pushes the envelope in the gulf and ends up causing the moratorium. And now in the Arctic they are forging ahead again with untested technology, and as a result they're the only ones left being allowed to drill there.
And the Liberals want us to disregard Judge Feldman's decision to stop the oil drilling moratorium due to the order bing arbitrary because there might be a conflict of interest since Feldman owns some oil and gas stocks.

No sense? There are many places in Alaska available for drilling that are not 2 miles down. Why would BP cause a disaster that sparks a drilling moratorium and yet BP gets to continue drilling while much smaller operations must cease? Apparently $77,000 campaign contributions buy a lot today.

Big Oil Maneuvering and Vestiture,
Great article at POWIP

While author Dan Collins discusses that the judge who overturned the moratorium on drilling does have oil stocks, he also reveals some other conflicts of interest on the other side of the issue.

See, we are suppose to suspect the ruling of Judge Feldman for overturning the moratorium but owning oil stocks. But no one is talking about the experts who recommended against the moratorium but after signing their report, the report was changed and pretended that they recommended a moratorium.

Collins doesn't mention another conflict Obama has. Obama received the single largest campaign donation from BP. BP's largest well will not be covered by the moratorium. Therefore, BP can continue to run a not so great well while others are shut down.

Do read the complete article because there are tons of tasty tidbits and conflicts of interest in the White House.

Federal Government Stops Berm Building
Over two months into an ongoing disaster of millions of gallons of oil spewing into the Gulf coast waters and marshlands, the Federal Government shuts down the dredging creating sand berms to block oil from Louisiana.

Suddenly the Fish and Wildlife agency has concerns about where the dredging is taking place.
Plaquemines Parish President Billy Nungesser, who was one of the most vocal advocates of the dredging plan, has sent a letter to President Barack Obama, pleading for the work to continue.

Nungesser's letter includes an emotional plea to the president.

"Please don't let them shut this dredge down," he wrote. "This requires your immediate attention!"
How many weeks will it take for President Kick-Ass to answer?

Obama's Role in BP Explosion
We've heard rumors seeping out about how the BP Horizon well was troubled long before the explosion. The media has played the sound bites bit by bit, arousing the anger at BP.

As Paul Harvey would say, here's the rest of the story: BP officials are not the only ones who knew as early as February 2010 that Horizon had severe problems.
On Feb. 13, BP told the minerals service it was trying to seal cracks in the well about 40 miles (64 kilometers) off the Louisiana coast, drilling documents obtained by Bloomberg show.

In early March, BP told the minerals agency the company was having trouble maintaining control of surging natural gas, according to e-mails released May 30 by the House Energy and Commerce Committee, which is investigating the spill.
The "Minerals Service" is a government agency under the Obama administration.
